Emma Carmichael is a freelance writer and editor.
She was a staff writer on Wyatt Cenac's Problem Areas on HBO from 2017 to 2019, and served as editor-in-chief of Jezebel from 2014 to 2017. Prior to Jezebel, she was editor of The Hairpin and managing editor of both Gawker and Deadspin.
